PSR Program:
In order to qualify for private refugee sponsorship:
- Refugees must be outside of their country of origin.
- Refugees residing in the following places are currently NOT eligible for sponsorship:
Libya, Yemen, North Korea, Somalia, Syria, Iran, Australia, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden United Kingdom and the United States.
Our sponsorship program is very limited. We are currently unable to sponsor:
- Large families (more than 4 people)
The Canadian Government requires that a Co-Sponsor:
- Must be over 18
- Must not have a criminal record
- Must reside in Nova Scotia
ISANS sponsorS will NOT be accepted if they:
- Do not have a Constituent Group
- Are unemployed
- Currently have 3 or more sponsorship applications in process
- If the "Settlement Plan" within the application of interest is not completed
Anyone who provides misleading information about themselves or the family they wish to sponsor may have their application withdrawn at a later date.
